The Mid-year OPIC Trends Report 2022 provides a summary of the main developments and trends under the OPIC from January 2022 until June 2022. The analysis is based on the information publicly accessible on the UN Committee of the Rights of the Child’s website. 

January – June 2022 highlights 

The most significant highlights of the year so far include the adoption of 18 new decisions by the Committee on individual communications, including on new themes, such as the recent first-ever international child abduction case; the adoption by the Committee of its working methods on inquiries (pending to be published) and the organization of the 2022 Annual informal exchange between the Committee and States on the OPIC.
