SUMMARY:The 3rd Optional Protocol to the CRC and the Access to a Child-Friendly Justice
DESCRIPTION:Child Rights Connect participated in an online event on the Third Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child (OPIC) and the Access to a Child-Friendly Justice. Together with Jorge Cardona\, ex Member of the Committee on the Rights of the Child\, we shared some thoughts on the use of the OPIC as well as some remaining challenges and opportunities to ensure access to justice for all children. A representative from the Inter-American Court on Human Rights also shared how the Court has been ensuring access to justice to children. \nThe event was organized by Defense for Children International (DCI) Costa Rica together with the Regional Office of UNICEF in Costa Rica and the National Childhood Trust of Costa Rica (PANI).
